Let us assume ,

Diagonal of a cube= a = 3 (given in question)

Side of cube = x

We know,

a^2= 3(x^2)

3^2 = 3(x^2)

3 = x^2

x = root 3

So side of cube is root 3.

Volume of cube = (root 3)^3

= 3(root 3) (or) root 27

Hence, volume of cube is 3(root3) (or) root27.
