Artistic gymnastics is harder than cheer-for most athletes. There are significant overlaps in the skills and the conditioning. That's also comparing competitive gymnastics to competitive cheer. Taking a one hour class in gymnastics once a week certainly isn't harder than competing on a Senior 5 cheer team.

if you do one you might wanna do the other gymnastics helps your body be more flexible which in cheer you really (really) need and also in gymnastics you build up your upper body muscles which again you need for cheerleading but if you wanna do on or the other make sure to run or do some sort of cardio exercise to help build your lungs stronger
and whatever anyone says don't eat less just eat healthy some meats (no grease) fruits vegetables drink a lot of water try some lemon tea or ginger tea (if your trying to lose weight get 1tsp of apple cider vinegar/ regular vinegar and 1/2 cups of warm water (if you don't like the bitter taste of the vinegar add honey not sugar) and make sure to stretch everyday so you wont pull anything
