Hey mate,

Total dozens = 1200/12

= 100

So cost by per rate of dozen = 35 * 100

= 3500 Rs

Now,

Total dozens in 900 = 900/12

= 75

So as per rate of 40 Rs

= 75 * 40

= 3000 Rs

Remaining bananas grouped in 2 = 300/2

= 150

So,

Total bananas SP = 150 * 5

= 750 Rs

Total SP = 750 + 3000

= 3750 Rs

We can clearly see he made a profit of = 3750 -3500

= 250 Rs

Hope this helps you out!

Here's Your Answer..!!

No. of Bananas purchased by Arun = 1200

As one dozen has 12 Bananas.

Amount of Bananas in dozen

= 1200/12

= 100

This means Arun purchased 100 dozen Bananas.

Now, we know that he sold one dozen of banana in Rs. 35.

So, Total amount at which he sold 100 dozen Bananas will be

= 100*35

= Rs. 3500

This means that Arun sold 100 dozen Bananas in Rs. 3500.

No. of Bananas sold by Arun at Rs. 40/dozen

= 900

Amount of Bananas in dozen

= 900/12

= 75

Thus, he sold 75 dozen Bananas.

As per the rate at which he sold the Bananas

= 75*40

= Rs. 3000

Remaining Bananas

= 1200-900

= 300

We know that, remaining no. of Bananas were paired.

So, 300/2 = 150

These bananas were sold at Rs. 5.

So, 150*5 = Rs. 750

Total Selling Price of all the Bananas

= 3000+750

= Rs. 3750

Thus, Profi made-

= Selling Price - Cost Price

= 3750-3500

= 250

Therefore, he made a profit of Rs. 250.

Hope This Helps..!!
