We know the identity.
sec^2@-tan^2@=1
sec^2@=1+tan^2@
Given that,
z=c Tan@
Tan@ =z/c.
Sec^2@=1+Tan^2@
=> 1+(z/c)^2.
=> 1+z^2/c^2.
