hardikpandaya:
Plants take in oxygen at night-time and give out the carbon dioxide produced by respiration. ... But at night photosynthesis stops and respirationcarries on. Animals take in oxygen by through lungs by internal respirationand cellular respiration takes place inside the animal body and release carbon dioxide.

=> respiration in plants is different from animal respiration in the following ways :
➡️ all parts of a plant like the root, stem and leaf perform respiration individually but in animals the respiration of all body cells is highly coordinated
➡ due to lack of blood, there is very little transport of respiratory gases in plants but in animals transport of respiratory gases is highly efficient
➡️ respiration in plants occurs at a slower rate than animals.
