Cylindrical tank is closed.

So, here we will find the total surface area of cylinder in m².

Height of the tank ( h ) = 1 m

Base radius of tank ( r ) = $\frac{Diameter}{2}$

                                      = $\frac{140}{2}$

                                     = 70 cm

                                    = 0.7 m

Area of sheet required = Total surface area of tank.

= 2 π r ( r + h )

= 2 * 22 / 7 * 0.7 ( 0.7 + 1 )

= 2 * 22 * 0.1 * ( 1.7 ) m²

= 4.4 * 1.7

= 7.48 m²

Hence, the required area of sheet = 7.48 m².
