48 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2× 3 = 2⁴ × 3

108 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 2² × 3³

280 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 7 = 2³ × 5 × 7

  • Choose the common prime factors with lowest exponent

Here,

HCF = 2² = 4

HCF = 4
