If we get the measurements of the perpendicular sides, then we can find the area of the figure. Figure is a square.

i.e., diagonals are equals.

The whole diagonal divides the figure into two equal parts.

Area of figures (1+2)

=½× product of the perpendicular sides

Therefore area of fig(1) +Area of fig(2)

=area of(3+4+5+6+7)

If we extend the other diagonal (not completed), figures (1) and (2) will be equal. Also remaining half will divide into two equal parts.

So,

area of figures (3+4+ half of 7)

=area of 5+6+half of 7)

Perpendicular sides of (3) and (5) are equal.

Area of figure 3=area of figure5

Area of figure 6=area of figure 4

Area of figure 3

=half of area of figure 7

(perpendicular sides are equal. So sides of the small figures are half the length of the side)
