1.) On peasants:
In his novel GODAN Premchand tells that how Hori and Dhania's land is robbed by colonisers. But still they maintain their dignity till end.
2.) On Low castes: In his novel RANGBHOOMI Premchand tells that how visually impaired and DALIT begar Surdas' land is forcibly taken over to start a tobacco factory.

The vernacular novels in India were the major source of information about the lives of peasants and low castes .
It was Premchand one of the well known novelist who wrote about the low castes and social division .
In his novel rangabhoomi he wrote about a visually impaired beggar who was struggling to create his identity in the society.
In godan Premchand wrote about a peasant couple who work hard to fight against the oppression of moneylenders.
Later some novelists like Bamkin Chandra chattopadhyay, potheri kunjambu etc worked on this concept.
