A first-past-the-post (FPTP) voting method is one in which voters indicate on a ballot the candidate of their choice, and the candidate who receives the most votes wins. Election are held after every 5 years for union & state.We have direct system of voting for lok sabha and legislative assembly. members of Rajya sabha , legislative council & President are elected indirectly
