Restriction sites are specific sites are locations on a DNA molecules with a specific sequence of nucleotides that can be identified by restriction enzymes.
EcoRI is the restriction endonuclease enzyme isolated from E.coli.The I in the sequence indicates which phosphodiester bond will break in the DNA molecule.
