Cerebrum is the largest , highly developed and most prominent part of the brain . it is divided into two cerebral hemispheres separated in the centre by a deep median longitudinal groove . A thick band of nerve fibres called corpus callosum connects two hemisphere.
Functions -
1 . The cerebrum is the place where mental abilities such as thinking , learning , intelligence , reasoning are governed .
2 . Cerebrum also controls the will , emotion and the words of the person.
3 . It also allow us to observe things around us through the sense organs such as eyes , optical nerves , etc.
3 . Cerebrum also controls the feelings of a person such as , love , hatred , affection , admiration.
4 . The cerebrum or the forebrain is the main thinking part of the brain.
5 . All the voluntary actions of the body are coordinated by the cerebrum .

The two folds of dura mater :
1. The upper part known as , periosteal also known as endocranium.
2. The inner layer which is usually called the meningeal layer or the actual dura mater.

CEREBRUM -

It is the most complex part of brain and largest also.

It's main functions are -

✓ It's left part controls the right parts of Body and right part controls left part of the body.

✓ Frontal lobe of Cerebrum controls thoughts, actions, creative ideas, muscle movement, memories, reasoning, emotions and personality.

✓ Perital lobe controls senses like cold, hot, position in space, pain, information from environment.

✓ Temporal lobe controls interpretation of language, smell, memory, emotion and sound also.

✓ Occipital lobe of Cerebrum is responsible for sensation of vision i.e; colour and shape.

DURAMATER -

It is the outermost layer which is thick and double layered.

It has two folds which are Superficial layer which is present as Periosteum (inner to skull)
and Meningeal layer which is well known as actually duramater.
