HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER:-

1) QUESTION:-

the sum of two rational numbers is -8. if one of the number is -13/7, find the other.

1) ANSWER:-

LET THE OTHER BE x

ONE NUMBER IS -\frac{13}{7}

A.T.Q,

x+-\frac{13}{7}=-8

x=-8+\frac{13}{7\\} \\==> x=\frac{-56+13}{7} \\==>x=\frac{-43}{7}

so the number is -43/7

2) QUESTION:-

2. what should be subtracted from -11/15 to get -3/15.

2) ANSWER:-

LET THE NUMBER x

--\frac{11}{5}-x=\frac{-3}{15}

x=-2      ( see attachment for solution)
