Evaporation is phenomena of change of liquid into vapours at any temperature below its boiling point .

Evaporation is a cooling process and surface phenomena

. Example : water evaporates from wet clothes when they are placed in hot sun Water evaporates from bowl of water kept under fan

Change of liquid into its vapour form, on heating, is called Evaporation. For example - When we wash our hands with water but do not wipe them. After sometimes, the hands will get dry on their own. It is because the water changes into its vapour form and gets evaporated.
