hi frnds..... why do we treat 'I' as plural in grammar whereas I is used for a single person (me).... give reasons for ur answer ​

i is first person singular number and we use it also as singular .

I is always used as a first person but according to English Grammar we use I as plural for the sake of convenience. Although I is used as first person it is always mentioned as a group/collection of a whole. If we use a pronoun as YOU then we don't write"You has done a work"(which is completely wrong even if you refers a one person,it can be referred to as a group also). THAT'S WHY WE WRITE I am fine,I have done my work (examples)and so on...
