Ages of kala and samth are 4:3,5yearsfrom now their ages will be 5:4.find the present age?

Given that Ages of kala and samth are 4:3.

Let the age of Kala = 4x.

Let the age of Samth = 5x.

5 years hence:

⇒ Age of kala = 4x + 5.

⇒ Age of samth = 3x + 5.

Now,

Given that 5 years hence their ages will be 5:4

⇒ 4x + 5 : 3x + 5 = 5 : 4

⇒ 4(4x + 5) = 5(3x + 5)

⇒ 16x + 20 = 15x + 25

⇒ x = 5.

Then:

⇒ 4x = 20

⇒ 3x = 15.

Therefore:

⇒ Present age of Kala = 20

⇒ Present age of Samth = 15 years.
