an echo was heard after 3 sec. what is the distance of reflecting surface from the source, given that the speed of source is 342 m/s

 t = \dfrac{T}{2}

 t = \dfrac{3}{2}

 t = 1.5 s

 \large{\textbf{$Distance = Speed \times time$}}

Distance of the reflecting surface from the source is :-

 Distance = 342 \times \dfrac{15}{10}

 Distance = \dfrac{5130}{10}

\therefore\textbf{Distance$ = 513 m$}

S = v ×t

= 342×3

therefore

S/2 =342×3/2

= 171×3=513 m is the distance...
