according to the question , 

let, h = 50 m is the height of the tower .

they meet at height X from the ground and T is the time taken by they meet .

now ,

for 1st stone : 

50 - x = 1/2 gt² 

for second stone : 

x = ut - 1/2 gt² 

x = 25t - 1/2 gt² ( here u = 25 )

implies ,

50 - 25 t + 1/2 gt² = 1/2 gt²

implies ,

50 = 25 t 

therefore ,

T = 50 / 25 

implies,

T = 2 seconds
