it looks like ice and it is doesn't undergo liquid state but goes directly from solid to gas

Solid carbon dioxide is known as dry ice because it looks like i e and when it melts ... it actually sublimes and it goes from solid straight to gas ... no liquid ... hence dry ice ....✌✌
