Answer:

Equilibrium constant of a reaction is used for two purposes: Value of Kc is used to predict the direction of the reaction. Value of Kc is also used to predict the extent to which a reaction occurs.....

Answer:

Equilibrium is the state of reaction in which rate of forward reaction is equal to rate of backward reaction.

Equilibrium constant = Kp or Kc depending on the situation.

Suppose there is a reaction :

mA + nB = aC + qD

then => Kc = [C]^a[D]^q/[A]^m[B]^n

[M] denotes concentration  of M at equilibrium!!

Equilibrium constant helps us determine the rate of reaction.

It also tells us the extent of reaction.
