HI GUYS ...
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME ALL FORMULAS FOR SOUND ..(ONLY RELEVANT TO CLASS 8)
40 POINTS FOR GRAB.
#NOSPAM

KunalTheGreat: Jishnu bhaiya include formula or lambda and "NU"
Anonymous: okh
KunalTheGreat: ;)
Anonymous: what is NU ?
KunalTheGreat: The frequency is often given the name "nu", a Greek letter whch looks a lot like a "v". Planck's constant is usually called "h". Its value is about 6.626*10^-34 Joules/ Hz. A Joule is a unit of energy, and a Hertz is a unit of frequency, so when you multiply a frequency by h you get an energy.
KunalTheGreat: got it?
Anonymous: E = h nu where h = plank's constant ...thats all i know
KunalTheGreat: ohk.....
manojakshatpcs80p: if u know then why u asked
manojakshatpcs80p: and how my answer is wrong

Formulas of sound :

(i) Echo

Speed of echo = ( 2 × distance between surface and source ) / time

(ii) V = f λ

where V = velocity of wave ,

f = frequency of sound wave ,

λ = wavelength .

(iii) f = 1 / t

where f = frequency of wave ,

t = time period .

(iv) E = h nu

where h = Plank's constant

E = energy of wave .

(v) f = √T/ 2 l ( π r² d )

f = frequency of stretched string

l = length

d = density

r = radius

T= time period .

Note that this formula is for stretched string only.

Hope it helps !

KunalTheGreat: thanks a lot!
Anonymous: welcome :-)

Explanation:

In this article, we will discuss sound waves and the speed of sound formula.

...

c = ( γ × P ρ ) \sqrt(\frac{\gamma \times P}{\rho}) ( ργ×P)

c Speed of sound

γ Specific heat ratio
