1) Aluminium carbide + water gives aluminium Hydroxide + methane:

Al4C3 + 12H2O → 4Al(OH)3 + 3CH.

2) Iron pyrites + oxygen gives ferric oxide + Sulphuric dioxide:

☆4 FeS2 + 11 O2  --> 2 Fe2O3 + 8 SO2

3) Potassium permanganate + hydrochloric acid gives Potassium Chloride + manganese chloride + chlorine + water:

2 K MnO4 + 16 HCl → 2 MnCl2 + 5 Cl2 + 2 KCl + 8 H2O.

4) Aluminium Sulphate + Sodium Hydroxide gives sodium sulphate + sodium meta aluminate + water:

Al2(SO4)3 + 8NaOH = 2NaAlO2 + 3Na2SO4 + 4H2O

5) Potassium dichromate + sulphuric acid gives Potassium Sulphate + chromium sulphate + water + oxygen:

K2Cr2O7 +4H2SO4 → K2SO4 +

K2Cr2O7 +4H2SO4 → K2SO4 +Cr2(SO4) +4H2O + 3'O'

6) Sulphur + nitric acid gives sulphuric acid + Nitrogen dioxide + water:

S+HNO3=H2SO4+NO2+H20

7) Sodium chloride + manganese oxide + sulphuric acid gives Sodium Hydroxide sulphate + manganese sulphate + water + chlorine:

☆NaCl + MnO₂ + H₂SO₄ → NaHSO₄ + MnSO₄ + H₂O + Cl₂
