Hi guys How is life? I hope you are having a nice time, Plz answer this question

a cuboid having a mass 150kg and dimensions 3m x 5m x 20m is placed on a table to exert pressure on its surface. If the value of g= 10ms2, calculate the value of max and mini pressure exerted by the cuboid on the surface of the table

Hi, my friend,

Given:

Mass of cuboid = 150 kg

Length of the cuboid = 3 m

Breadth of the cuboid = 5m

Height if the cuboid = 20m

g = 10 m/s²

Here:

Pressure = Force / Area

Net Force = Force exerted by the cuboid on the table = Weight force = mg

mg = (150)(10) = 1500 N

Surface Area of the cuboid experienced by the table = (3)(5) m² = 15 m²

Hence,

Pressure = 1500/15 Pascals = 100 Pascals.

Therefore the pressure applied by the cuboid on the table is 100 pascals.
