Firstly we have to find common acceleration so consider them as a single block with mass m . This comes out to be 1 m/s^2. Then you have to find that what is the maximum acceleration the block A can have because it's moving because of only friction and this maximum acceleration is 3 m/s^2. Now by observation you easily understood that these blocks are moving together. So common acceleration is 1 m/s^2 then draw the free body diagram you will finf the eq friction = m×a=2×1=2N
