hi guys I have a doubt (class -9)

like if we have a number 2.3(4)bar and we have to do it in p/q form so we do it like ..

2.344444.. = x (equation 1)
23.44444.. = 10x (equation 2)
234.4444.. = 100x (equation 3)

now my doubt is that why we have to subtract equation 2 and 3 .... and why we cannot subtract equation 1 and 2 .​

How 90 came?

under bar there is only one number i.e 4.Therefore 9, if there were 2 numbers we take 99

Add one zero because after decimal there is only ONE number WITHOUT BAR i.e 3. So we divide it by 90
