Explanation:

we know that

gravitational force directly proportional to product of mass of two bodies inversely proportional to square of the distance between the two bodies.

in case of sphere gravitational force = GMm/R^2 (Where M and m are mass of two bodies and R is the distance between them )

So

GMm/R^2 = F

Mass of solid sphere removed =

 =  \frac{m}{ \frac{4}{3} \times \pi {r}^{3}  }  \times  \frac{4}{3} \pi { (\frac{d}{2} )}^{3}  =  \frac{m}{g}

since mass of small sphere is very small so take M= 1

F'=

 \frac{g( \frac{m}{8}1 }{   {3r }^{2}   }  =  \frac{gm \times 1}{ {r}^{2} }  \times  \frac{1}{8}  \times    \\ = 4f \times  \frac{1}{</u></em><em><u>8</u></em><em><u>}   =  \frac{f}{</u></em><em><u>8</u></em><em><u>}  \\

So force due to remaining sphere

F" = F - F' = F - F/8 = 7F/8
