Make sure your English speaking speed should not be frequent very much.

When you will be on podeum don't move your legs here and there, stand in a proper manner.

Speech is the only form of composition where you have to express yourself and your thoughts in limited words. It should not be too short nor too lengthy; and you should stick to the main topic too.

• Start your speech with a beautiful quote related to your topic to grasp the attention of your audience. If not, you can use salutations like-' A very good afternoon to my respected teachers and my dear friends' or ' On behalf of my school, I welcome you all to this marvellous evening which we all were awaiting for eagerly ".
• After this, start off for the main body of your speech. This should content all you thoughts, probably in one paragraph. If extremely necessary you can use another paragraph. But, don't waver away from the main topic and see that your sentences are linked to each other and have a proper flow. You can use any Proverbs too.
• The ending part of your speech must be short and should have a gist of the whole speech. Don't hurry up to end it ; instead say- " To sum up my speech/ to conclude my speech.... " and then end it like -" I thank you all for a very patient listening/ I thank you for lending me your ears".
• Be confident, and don't avoid making eye contact with your Audience.
