English, asked by Arceusgod, 1 year ago

hi guys .....
I wanted to ask that in my English notebook the synonym of leafy is given "'green'"
How does the word green even related to the word leafy and why is it the synonym of leafy ??????

Anonymous: Leafy means "leaf-like". What's the first attribute of leaf that comes in your mind? Its color - green. So, it isn't about being absolute synonymous to leaf, you can use it to compare something with leaf (in terms of color here)in an indirect way. It's like a metaphor.
