Answer:-

1.) (i) In near vision, the shape of the eye lens is convex. In distant vision, the shape of the eye lens is thin and less convex.

(ii)the ciliary muscles contract and squeeze the lens into a more convex shape. This increase in the curvature of the lens corresponds to a shorter focal length.

2.) CILIARY MUSCLES AND SUSPENSORY LIGAMENT are the two structures of the eye responsible for bringing about the change in the shape of the lens.

3.) (i)In the dark the rod cells and their pigment Rhodopsin gets activated.

(ii)The cell of the retina and the respective pigment which get activated in the light is cone cells, and its pigment is iodopsin.

Hope this will help you :)
