Iska yeh matlab hai ki khud narrator ko bhi us maiden ki bhasha nahi aati thi par wo itna acha gaa rahi thi ki narrator chahta tha ki yeh bas gate rahe kabhi na ruke. Narrator ne us ladki ko kam krne ke sath sath gate hue dekha tha.
wo bas use wahi khade khade sunna chahata tha ... fir wo narrator hills pr jaata hai ... aur aaj bahut din bit gaye pr use waisa gaana aaj tak sunai nahi dia.. actually he was in love with that girl

in these lines the poet shows his believes and he acts as an optimistic person and says that any beautiful thing does not provide us happiness for a while rather it is of very much use in future and gives us happiness . the poet did not understood the dialect or language in which the solitary reaper sang that's why he was unable to know for what purpose the solitary reaper sang and to whom it was dedicated but this fact was of no importance to him. he told that whatever may be the subject but the reaper sang it so pleasantly that the song was full of melody that it remained in his heart and mind forever
