Hey there!!

=>Solid state of matter cannot change its shape and volume easily. This is because its particles are tightly packed.

=>Gaseous state of matter can change its shape and volume. This is because, its particles are loosely packed.

=> Liquid state of matter can change shape according to the shape of container or vessel but can't change its volume.

Answer:

→ Broadly speaking there are three basic State matters:

• Solid

• Liquid

• Gaseous

→ The Solid State of matter can't change its shape and Volume as the interparticle distance is negligible and the intermolecular force between them is high.

→ The Gaseous State of matter can change its shape and Volume as the particles are so far from each other and it is having the ability to occupy the given volume.
