Answer :

Now, 5 (3x + y)² + 6 (3x + y) - 8

= 5 (3x + y)² + 10 (3x + y) - 4 (3x + y) - 8

= 5 (3x + y) (3x + y + 2) - 4 (3x + y + 2)

= (3x + y + 2) (15x + 5y - 4),

OR

Let t=3x+y giving
5(3x + y)^2 + 6(3x +y) - 8
=5t²+6t-8
=(5t-4)(t+2)
=(5(3x+y)-4)(3x+y+2)
=(15x+5y-4)(3x+y+2)

OR

The correct expression should be 5(3x + y)2 + 6(3x + y) - 8. It can be factorised as follows:

Let (3x + y) = z. Then, the expression becomes:

5z2 + 6z - 8

= 5z2 + 10z - 4z - 8

= 5z(z + 2) - 4(z + 2)

= (z + 2)(5z - 4)

= (3x + y + 2) [5(3x + y) - 4]

= (3x + y + 2) (15x + 5y - 4)

Answer:(3x+y+2)(15x+5y-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let (3x+y) be a

5a²+6a-8

5a²+10a-4a-8

=5a(a+2)-4(a+2)

= (a+2)(5a-4)

After substituting the value of a,

Answer=(3x+y+2)(15x+5y-4)
