Answer:

2. (a) Given,

        Radius = 14mm

        Area of circle = πr²

                                = 22

                                  -----  ×  14 × 14

                                    7

                               = 22 × 2 ×14

                               = 616 mm²

(b)  Given,

        Diameter = 49m

        Radius = 49

                       ----- m

                         2

        Area of circle = πr²

                                = 22.     49       49

                                  -----  × -----  ×  -----

                                    7         2         2

                               = 11 × 7 × 49

                               = 5,733 m²

(c) Given,

        Radius = 5cm

        Area of circle = πr²

                                = 22

                                  -----  ×  5 × 5

                                    7

                               = 78.571 cm² (approx.)

Answers with step-by-step explanation:

2.(a) Given,

 Radius = 14 mm

 A = 22/7 ×  14 ×14

 = 22 × 2 ×14

 = 616 mm²

(b)  Given,

Area of circle = πr²

Diameter = 49m

Radius = 49/2

=24.5 m²

(c) Given,

Radius = 5 cm

 Area of circle = πr²

 22/7 ×  5 × 5

= 78.571 cm²

5. area of sheet = 3.14 x 4 x 4

 = 50.28571   cm²

area of cut out piece = 3.14 x 3  x 3

3.14" was replaced by "(314/100)".

= 28.26000 cm²

area of remaining sheet = 50.28571 - 28.26000

= 22.02571‬ cm²

hope it helps u
