Hi guys! Take a look at the following series:

s = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ............ to infinity

Did you know what the value of s is?

Ramanujan, one of the best mathematicians the world has ever seen, proved that s = -(1/12).

But, logically, it seems impossible, right? After all, the smallest no. in the series is positive. So how does the sum of series become negative?

Check out Ramanujan's infinity summation. And then decide, which side you are on: common sense or mathematics?

Check this out man!!

I can challenge your Indian mathematician Ramanujan! (no offence, just saying)

Let S = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + ..........

=> S = 1 + (2 + 3 + 4) + (5 + 6 + 7) + (8 + 9 + 10).......

=> S = 1 + 9 + 18 + 27 +..........

=> S = 1 + 9(1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +......)

=> S = 1 + 9(S)

=> 8S = -1

=> S = -1/8

The way Mr. Ramanujan proved in -1/12..... rather in a simpler way I've proved it -1/8.
