hi guys tell me why is small intestine in herbivores longer than in carnivores​

Hi,

This is because grass(cellulose) needs more time to digest whereas meat doesn't need that much.

Even Keeping meat, flesh etc in intestine for long time could result in transfer of micro-organisms from food to the host organism..

because herbivores eat green plants which contain cellulose. cellulose take much time and energy for breaking down but carnivores eat meat like substance which take a little time for digestion.
