The white rhino is divided into two subspecies-

☪ Southern White Rhino
They are of different subspecies because they are genetically distinct populations.
Northern Rhinos- As of 19 March, 2018 there were only two known rhinos of this subspecies left, both of which are female. The two remaining northern white rhinos in the world at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia in Kenya.
