hi guyz my question is. a starfish is cut into several pieces. Each of these pieces develops into a new starfish .What is the reason behind it???? plz ans it

Not all the starfish have this ability but few of the varities has. They have regenration ability like hydra (micro organism). few can grow only limbs and other can whole body. Just the need central core like brain or important parts.
