Given-:
Mass of stone=> 0.1kg
Height => 100m
To find-:
Velocity of particle when it reaches to earth=?
Kinetic energy of particle when it reaches to earth=?
Solution-:
By energy conservation theorem-:
Initial Energy(Potential energy)=> mgh=>0.1×10×100=>100
Final Energy[Kinetic energy] => (1/2)mv² => (1/2)×0.1×v²
By conserving energy means, final energy=initial Energy
=>100=(1/2)×0.1×v²
=> v=√2000
=> v=20√5
Now Kinetic energy=> (1/2)mv²
Kinetic energy=> (1/2)×0.1×2000
Kinetic energy=> 100
So when particle reaches the earth then it will have velocity = 20√5m/sec. and Kinetic energy will be=> 100J
