Amounts to = Rs.7865

In = 3 years

To find :

What will Rs.6500 Amount to in 5 years at same rate of Interest.

Solution :

Case I

\textsf{Principal = Rs.6500}

\textsf{Time = 3 years}

\textsf{Amount = Rs.7865}

Simple Interest = Amount - Principal

==> 7865 - 6500

==> 1365

\textsf{Simple Interest = Rs.1365}

We need to find the Rate of Interest.

find the rate :--

si = 7865 - 6500

rs, 1365 is the simple interest :-

1365= p * r * t/100

1356 = 6500 * r * 3/100

1365 = 195 * r

r = 1365/195

r = 7%

find the amount ;-

si = p*r*t/100

si = 6500 * 7*5/100

si = 65*35

si = 2275

amount = si + principal

2275 + 6500

8775

therefore, the amount is rs.8875
