When barium chloride reacts withsulphuric acid, an insoluble white precipitate of barium sulphate is formed.

BaCl2 + H2SO4-->BaSO4+ 2HCl

It's a type of precipitation or double displacement reaction.

E.g--BaCl2 + CaSO4-->BaSO4 +CaCl2
