Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

< AOB and < COB form a linear pair.

To find:-

Find the measure of x?

Solution:-

Given that

< AOB and < COB form a linear pair.

< AOB = x/2

< COB = x/3

We know that

The sum of two adjacent angles is equal to 180° then they are called Linear Pair.

So , The sum of < AOB and < COB is 180°

=> < AOB + < COB = 180°

=> (x/2)+(x/3) = 180°

LCM of 2 and 3 is 6

=> (3x+2x)/6 = 180°

=> 5x/6 = 180°

=> 5x = 180°×6

=> 5x = 1080°

=> x = 1080°/5

=> x = 216°

Therefore, x = 216°

Answer:-

The measure of x for the given problem is 216°

Check:-

if x = 216° then x/2 = 216°/2 = 108°

If x = 216° then x/3 = 216°/3 = 72°

So,

< AOB = 108°

< COB = 72°

< AOB + < COB = 108°+72° = 180°

< AOB and < COB form a linear pair.

Verified the given relations in the given problem.

Used formulae:-

Linear Pair:-

The sum of two adjacent angles is equal to 180° then they are called Linear Pair.
