The effects of loss of Biodiversity are:

Decline in plant production/Decline in number of animal species .

Due to the loss of biodiversity the natural habitat of many animals become void and due to this the will drive towards death due to impaired basic needs and plants also became extinct or lower in number .

- Lowered resistance to environmental perturbations such as drought .

This state is defined best when we co-relate a Drought condition with Alium Cepa (onion plant), as we know plant cant survive water , so in drought condition this plant will also die soon .

- Increased variability in certain ecosystem processes .

such as plant productivity/ water use / pest & disease  cycles .

- Species may become endangered/increased rate of species extinction .

Due to the loss of natural habitat many species became endangered due to not proper fulfill of needs like food and shelter, and such endemic species will also drive towards the extinction.
