x³+2x²-11x-12

= x³-3x²+5x²-11x-12

= x²(x-3)+5x²-15x+4x-12

= x²(x-3)+5x(x-3)+4(x-3)

= x²(x-3)+(x-3)(5x+4)

= (x-3)(x²+5x+4)

= (x-3)(x²+x+4x+4)

= (x-3){x(x+1)+4(x+1)}

= (x-3)(x+1)(x+4)
