 \huge \text{Hangul }

Hangul ( 한글 ) where 한 stands for han , 글 stands for gul

Just like English alphabets angle also consists of consonants and vowels .

Consonants ( 자음 )

there are total 14 basic consonant in hangul ( but overall there are 19 )

ㄱ - sound - g

ㄴ - sound - n

ㄷ - sound - d

ㄹ - sound - r...l

ㅁ - sound - m

ㅂ - sound - b

ㅅ - sound - s

ㅇ - sound - eyong.. no sound

ㅈ - sound - j

ㅊ - sound - ch

ㅋ - sound - k

ㅌ - sounds - t

ㅍ - sound - p

ㅎ - sound - h

here I have only told about basic consonants

vowels ( 모 음 )

there are more vowels than there are consonants .

we can see the 10 vowels is not all the vowels that the Hangul have . there are many more but these are the basic .

ㅏ - sound - a

ㅑ - sound - ya

ㅓ - sound - uh

ㅕ - sound - yuh

ㅣ - sound - ee

[ c | v ]

-------------------------------

ㅗ - sound - oh

ㅛ - sound - yoh

ㅜ - sound - ooh

ㅠ - sound - yooh

ㅡ - sound - eu

[ c ]

-----

[ v ]

there is a difference in the vowal in first part and the vowal in second part . the first 5 one are placed next to consonant and the second one are placed under the consonant .

when we are combining consonant and vowels, always consonant proceed vowels and there are two option , the following vowels can be placed either they are next to the consonant or below the consonants .
