Q. a) Derive an expression for kinetic energy of an object i.e. KE= ½ MV²

b) If the velocity of an object is doubled. What will be the change in its kinetic energy?

suppose a body at rest move at a velocity v with displacement s and uniform acceleration is a

now

w=mas=m*a*(v^2-u^2)/2*a

since u=0

w=mv^2/2

so

kinetic energy =mv^2/2
