☑️generally aliphatic hydrocarbon

☑️less acidic

☑️General formula → R-OH , where R is alkyl group

Phenol

☑️OH group attached to aryl group

☑️aromatic hydrocarbon

☑️more acidic

☑️General formula → Ph-OH , where Ph is phenolic ring .
