The resistance are in series therefore it is maximum effective current __

let R = 1 Ω and R' = 2 Ω

Equivalent resistance = 3 Ω

V = 3 volt

Therefore total reading of ammeter = V / R

I = 3 V / 3 Ω

I = 1 A

Now in series current remains same and voltage changes ,

V = IR

V = 1 A × 2 Ω

V = 2 Volts
