<b>Heya mate. (^_-). Solution below.
====================================

(1) (x/2 + 2y/3)²

♦ Using identity : (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab,

→→→ [ (x/2)² + (2y/3)² + (2 × x/2 × 2y/3) ]

= x²/4 + 4y²/9 + 2xy/3
====================================

(2) (5p - 1/4q)²

♦ Using identity : (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

→→→ [ (5p)² + (4q)² + (2 × 5p × 4q)]

= 25p² + 16q² + 40pq
====================================

(3) (x + 3y)² + (3x + y)²

♦ Using identity : (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

→→→ [(x)² + (3y)² + (2 × x × 3y)] + [(3x)² + (y)² + (2 × 3x × y)]

= [ x² + 9y² + 6xy] + [ 9x² + y² + 6xy]

= x² + 9y² + 6xy + 9x² + y² + 6xy

= x² + 9x² + 9y² + y² + 6xy + 6xy

= 10x² + 10y² + 12xy
====================================

(4) (4x - 7y)² - (2x + 3y)²

♦ Using identity : (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab,

→→→ [(4x)² + (7y)² - (2 × 4x × 7y)] - [2x + 3y)²

= [16x² + 49y² - 56xy] - [2x + 3y)²

♦ Using identity : (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab,

→→→ [16x² + 49y² - 56xy] - [(2x)² + (3y)² + (2 × 2x × 3y)]

= [16x² + 49y² - 56xy] - [4x² + 9y² + 12xy]

= 16x² + 49y² - 56xy - 4x² - 9y² - 12xy

= 16x² - 4x² + 49y² - 9y² - 56xy - 12xy

= 12x² + 40y² - 68xy
====================================
