ANSWER:

The leaf kept in a jar which is there tight will not allow any gases to be exchanged. As we all know the plant in the daytime produces oxygen and takes carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis.

The process of photosynthesis also requires the water and other minerals and it is followed in the presence of nitrogen.

EXPLANATION:

The jar which is kept in the sunlight will dry due to the high temperature. As the gas present inside the jar gets heat up and it is not allowed to be exchanged with the atmosphere this will cause damage to the leaf and hence the leaf will die.

The jar which is kept inside the refrigerator experiences a lot of cold as compared to the surrounding. The low temperature will cause the veins of the leaves to deteriorate or malfunction. Hence this leave will die but slowly as compared to the one which is kept in the sunlight.
