Step-by-step explanation:

In all aspects we will not multiply the exponents if it is in this form we can we can multiply

a power m whole power n means then we can multiply the exponents then we can write it like this,a power m×n

Answer:

1.Add powers together when multiplying like bases.

Eg: x^{2} +x^{2} =x^{2+2} =x^{4}

     4^{2} +4^{2} =4^{2+2} =4^{4}

2.Subtract powers when dividing like bases.

Eg: x^{5} /x^{3} =x^{5-3} =x^{2}

     3^{5} /3^{3} =3^{5-3} =3^{2}

3.Multiply powers together when raising a power by another exponent.

Eg: (x^{2} )^{2} =x^{2*2} =x^{4}

     (19^{2} )^{2} =19^{2*2} =19^{4}

4.Distribute power to each base when raising several variables by a power.

Eg: x^{2} =a^{2} *b^{2}

     18^{2} =3^{2} *6^{2}

5.Any base raised to the power of zero becomes one

Eg:  x^{0} =1

      5^{0} =1

6.To change a negative exponent to a positive one, flip it into a reciprocal

Eg: x^{-2} =( \frac{1}{x} )^{2}

     67^{-2} =(\frac{1}{67} )^2
